I’ve been a fan of undertale for at least 2 years now or even more and I still can’t believe people are arguing about genders, ages and even the characters. Obviously, Undertale is a game where you “don’t have to kill anyone” and it’s teaching you all a lesson that we should show mercy to all. But here we are, the fan base, showing [FIGHT] instead of [MERCY]. You are not a fan of undertale, you’re just someone who likes the game then. The game teaches you lessons to love yourself and show mercy. Toby Fox’s main goal is exactly like that! That’s why he created the game in the first place. Yet his fanbase is so toxic that I even tried to stay away from it.
I’ve seen blogs and usernames on different sites having the word “hate” or “hates” or even “burn” on them.
That is immature. Do you really want to spend your time on being a hater? Time will not stop for you. The word you are looking for is [DEFEND] not [HATE]. You should defend not hate on people. Offer them criticism and don’t hunt down people who does what you dislike. You are not a warrior. You are a human. If someone gets hurt, that’s where you draw the line.
You must [INVESTIGATE], [ANALYZE] and [UNDERSTAND] instead of pointing fingers without evidence and/or proof.
One of the main concerns or rather problems of this fandom is SHIPS. People can ship whatever they want as long as they are not hurting others and they are trying to filter their NSFW content. The biggest ship that has been targeted is FRANS.
Frans is a Sans x Frisk pairing made up by anyone in the fandom and people are bashing up the ones who are shipping this ship.

The game has taught you ZERO LESSONS. You just played it but you didn’t apply it’s main message. How disappointing.
The reason why people keep bashing the ship is because it’s “PEDOPHILIA” and “NECROPHILIA”. It’s only half true.

Frisk is a non binary character that you play through out with their actions depending on you. They have no personality, comfirmed age and even a back story.
Frisk is meant to symbolise you which is why they look like a blank slate of a character. They are meant to resemble you. They are only a revealed as Frisk in the end of the True ending thus making them a character who isn’t not depending on your actions there.
Frisk can flirt with EVERY character in the freaking game.
Another one is that Soriel shippers are also bashing this one but of course, not all of them. And they become so critical and ignorant about their own ship!
Toriel is already confirmed as an Old Lady by Sans in the Genocide Run
Sans is asexual and would likely be pun buddies with Tori rather than romantic partners. But that doesn’t mean you will stop shipping it.
Sans is still a skeleton and Toriel is still a goat.
We don’t know if Toriel did divorce Asgore. It only said that she ran away.
Point is, don’t be ignorant. Enjoy what you love instead of finding what you hate.
Also, the “age up” thing about frans? I don’t know how to feel about that. I’m was a Frans shipper but now I’m not. Because I lost interest in the ship itself.

I call people “Kid” sometimes when I’m with my friends. And they’re teens.
No one can truly know who Frisk is so I think we all need to shut up because we don’t know anything about them aside that they are Non-binary and that they are a blank slate of a character.
Another one is Fontcest. I don’t like this ship either but at least I’m not shoving my beliefs in anyone. Like:

If the person doesn’t want to change and ignore you, then unfollow them and and don’t spread uncivalized posts. Don’t waste your time and energy. Negativity will NEVER help you. You are only making a fool of yourself. Release that negativity through hobbies not through drama. It is useless and not needed in your life.
Remember, they are just people like you. They have feelings, past experiences that you do not know and situations they are handling.

I know it’s hard to get along but it always starts with yourselves. I am tired of seeing people attack over fictional ships. In fact, someone tried to kill somebody with homemade cookies because they just ship Frans. The cookies had needles in it. Do you guys want to become murderers? A horrible person ? I don’t think so.
Be calm and not brash. Don’t form a group just to take down people. You are no better than them. You are just as bad as them even if your intentions are good.
Don’t shout at people’s belief’s. Make them see why it is not good for them and they will also make you see that attacking is not an option.
Ruining someone’s life/reputation is not justice, it’s DEFAMATION. It is also punishable by law.
So here’s my advice:
Speak to the person privately so you can tell them your problem with their work. Do not shout, cuss or insult them. They will not listen to you. Be calm in explaining so and you both will reach a peak in doing something.
If the person does not want to listen to you or ignores you, ignore them back and unfollow them, they are not worth attacking or are they worth your time. Block them. Simple.
If the person hurts somebody because of a ship/ opinion / misunderstanding, [DEFEND] them but do not ever attack the person! That will result in giving you a bad face on the internet.
Do not even throw shade at someone you do not like.
Inform people only and ONLY IF they are hurting many because of their harsh beliefs/opinions. Make a post about them but do not cuss or throw shade. That will make your rant a hate comment.
Do not ruin someone’s reputation because you do not like them. This is called Defamation, Slander and Libel which is punishable by law and will be taken to court.
Do not play the victim card if the false act is truly yours. Own up to your mistakes and apologize.
Be open minded and improve yourself. Accept criticism. Do not be sarcastic if someone is trying to give you constructive criticism. They are trying to help you.
Focus on the bright side and not the wrong one. You only live once and you cannot reverse time to erase those mistakes. A bad reputation of you in the past can likely be still remembered by others and remind you of your mistakes thus you need to do good things.
Don’t focus on negativity. It is wasting your time. It can affect your mental health vastly and can cause complications in your thinking.
Separate the Work from the Person who made it. They do define the person but rather defines their talent. But even if the work is cruel, do not ever attack them. You are just as bad as the crude work.
Help them improve their attitude.
Do not be dramatic. Talk to them. Don’t be “I DON’T WANNA TALK TO THIS BECAUSE…..!” No just no.
Be sensitive to others.
Put aside your feelings. Be rational.
Put your foot down if they become toxic to others and tell them to stay away from the person but don’t throw cuss words or shade.
I hope you guys take my advice because I really hate seeing a fandom fighting all the time. I ignore it but stupid situations will always come up. Also, RAPE, PEDOPHILIA and CHILD PORN is not okay. You need to have standards and understand your audience.Most Kids these days do not have a proper guidance and abandoned. Give them the role model they NEED. Filter your content too if you have NSFW works.
Kids, you need to stay away from these things too. Know your morals everyone but enjoy what you love.

Hey fam! I wanted to talk to you guys about something.
Part 1:
I normally don’t like to get political or anything on this blog if I can help it, because I want to focus more on positivity, plus I know a lot of you are young and/or live in different countries. But if you live in America and are capable (that is, physically, legally, and emotionally capable) please vote.
If you missed your state’s registration cut off, you can register in person at the polls- that’s what I did, and it was super simple! Just be sure to look up what you need to bring (I required two forms of identification, but I don’t know if that’s the same in every state). There were no lines at the polling place I went to, so the whole process took less than 20 minutes.
And now, Part 2!:
Politics are stressful as hell. There’s a reason I don’t talk about it much. This year especially there has been a ton of posts and information going around urging people to vote. While that is completely understandable, because it is incredible important, it’s also kind of scary.
So here are some tips from your resident anxious punk!
-Make voting an errand. If you can, make it one of multiple errands (”alright, after class I need to return these library books, vote, and pick up more cat food”). It makes it less scary and easier to push out of your head once it’s checked off your list.
-Have some distracting self care things planed for when you get home! Drink tea and watch your favorite show, draw, write, finally sew that patch that’s been sitting on your dresser for two months onto your jacket. Stuff like that.
-Once your done, if you need to, don’t feel bad blocking political posts. Know your limits and do your best to find the balance between staying informed and protecting your mental health.
-I highly recommend watching (or rewatching in my case) Thomas’ “Reasons to Smile” videos. They are some of my favorites and are a great source of positivity and optimism!
