“It’ll be okay”

That’s what you told me about five years ago. When everything was falling to pieces around me.

How could any of this be okay to you?

Everything had gotten quiet as your eyes closed and your breathing stopped. And just like that you were gone.

Gods it stil hurts so much as I think about you. I glance up at the picture of us. We were so happy.

I then glance at the window as a car pulls up. The laughter of kids brings a smile to my face. I stand up to greet them when I hear you and feel your touch.

“It’ll be okay..”
