A Normal Day

It wasn’t odd to adore the idiot that worked at his favorite coffee shop. At least, Eric thought it wasn’t considering he was dating said barista. Eric orders his usual tea and cake resisting the urge to smile as Lucas beams at him for the fifth time that day. He always ends up making him smile at the end. Eric watches him as he sits down at his usual table. He was so handsome with that smile.

“Eric? Eric!” Lucas’ voice called out to him. Eric snaps back into reality not realizing that he had been so deep in his thoughts. He looks up to see Lucas’ pouting face as he held his order.

“Ah, sorry… Thank you, Lucas..” Eric smiles softly making Lucas gush over his smile. Eric flushes slightly as Lucas tells him how cute his smile was. “I..it’s not cute. Go back to work..” Eric grumbles.

“Will I get a kiss if I do?” Lucas smiles as Eric flushes more. He grins when Eric nods shyly. “Aw yeah!” Lucas cheers as he gets back to work. Eric chuckles softly and went to eating his cake.

As always, Eric stands at the door waiting for Lucas. He looks outside seeing rain clouds forming. “Eric!” Eric turns and smiles happily as Lucas runs up to him.

“It looks like it’s going to rain… Did you bring an umbrella?” Eric asks softly. Lucas smiles sheepishly but shakes his head. “That’s fine, we can share mine.”

“You’re so awesome, baby!”

Eric grew flustered. “N..not really..” Lucas hums and wraps his arms around Eric’s waist before pulling him close. He grins and takes the umbrella.

“You are baby.” Lucas coos softly as they walked home.

“Lucas? Can we have our quiet time when we get home?” Eric asks softly. Lucas hums.

“I don’t see why not.” Eric beams at him effectively killing Lucas with love. Lucas grins and presses a soft kiss on his lips. Eric’s face turns red very quickly.

“Wh-what was that?”

“A kiss.”

“You know what I mean!”

Lucas grins at Eric. “Not at all baby~”

“This isn’t fair..” Eric pouts making Lucas kiss him again.

“All is fair in Love and War~” Lucas winks. “And this is definitely love.” Eric blushes.

Soon they arrived home. Eric walks in first with Lucas following. He shakes and closes the umbrella. He walks into the living room only to find his lovable boyfriend waiting for him curled up on the couch. Eric looks at him expectantly reaching for him. Lucas grins and wraps his arms around Eric’s waist noting the two cups of tea. “You caught everything haven’t you?”

“Yeah..” Eric blushes. Lucas smiles at him before spotting the book he was currently reading on the nightstand.

“You even got my book~ You were prepared weren’t you.” Lucas grins at Eric who blushes.

“Be quiet and cuddle me.” Eric huffs snuggling against Lucas’ side. Lucas laughs softly before shifting them so that he was propped against the armrest.

“Of course but I believe I was promised a kiss?” Lucas smirks at Eric as he gently strokes his hair. Eric flushes before pressing a soft kiss to his lips. Lucas softly kisses back. Eric hums in delight before returning to his original position. Lucas chuckles and grabs his book and started to read.

Thus how they stayed.
