Young Somnium was now four-years-old. They are often seen reading on their own. While they weren’t opposed to spending time with others. They needed time to themselves. Venus and Lumen noticed little odd things happening around Somnium. At first it was little thing, books falling over by themselves, toys being pushed around by an invisible force, and the light turning on at random times. Soon as Somnium grew up, the odd things became more frequent and powerful. At 7, Somnium’s parents had a theory. Venus went to the library and picked up books on magic. Lumen watched his child reach a book high up. He stood to get it but stopped when the book removed itself from the shelf and to Somnium. Somnium smiled happily at getting the book. Venus came back with the books. “Somnium! Come here pumpkin.” Venus smiled. Somnium walked to her with a questioning look. “Yes momma?” Somnium asked. Venus handed one of the books to them. Somnium looked at the title. “Elenchus?” Somnium asked. Venus smiled and nodded. “I have noticed you have been bored lately. I thought a change of genre would help.” Venus explained. Somnium had already opened the book. “The ability to distinguish lie from truth, also known as truthseeking.” They said quietly. Venus giggled to herself as Somnium walked away with the book. Thus a routine started. Venus and Lumen would give Somnium a new book every year. Somnium would show what he learned and they would let him move on to the next book.
