Today, January 27th, is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. A day in which we honor the victims of Nazism who died in a mass murder campaign that would eventually kill 12,000,000 people and leave lasting scars on many more.
There is nothing I could possibly say that could get across the depth of loss and trauma inflicted by these disgusting fascists on so many innocent people. So instead I will be maintaining a day of silence and using my platform to share stories of survival, resistance, and loss.
To the many Jewish, Romani, LGBT, disabled, and Black victims of the Holocaust: we will never forget you.
To our Jewish, Romani, LGBT, disabled, and Black friends and neighbors: we promise one thing– Never Again.
